Blooms and Whimsy is a concept boutique flower shop created to demonstrate how we would elevate a floral brand through cohesive design, strategic marketing, and a strong digital presence. This project showcases our approach to building a brand that feels distinctive, engaging, and consistent across all customer touchpoints.

The brief

For this concept, we explored how a boutique flower shop could strengthen its brand identity, grow its online presence, and create a seamless experience across both digital and physical platforms.

The focus included branding, social media, website design, photography direction, paid ads, and SEO.

Our thought process

We approached this project with a focus on consistency, creativity, and accessibility. Every element was designed to reflect the shop’s personality, appeal to its target audience, and support long-term growth.

Brand identity and guidelines

We refined the brand direction, developing guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.

This included:

• A defined colour palette, typography, tone of voice, and imagery style.
• Business card designs reflecting a boutique, whimsical aesthetic.

Website and photography

We designed a responsive, visually engaging website concept that reflected the brand’s personality while making browsing and purchasing simple and intuitive.

Alongside this, we developed a photography direction to support visual storytelling across digital platforms, including:

Digital presence and content

We developed a social media direction designed to showcase products and engage a visual-first audience.

• Branded content concepts featuring bouquets, seasonal arrangements, floral tips, and quotes.
• Paid social ad concepts designed to increase awareness and promote seasonal collections.
• An SEO approach focused on improving visibility and discoverability through search.
